Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I submit cards from any TCG?
A: Nearly! Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Disney Lorcana, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Digimon, Dragon Ball Super, Final Fantasy, Flesh and Blood, Weiss Schwarz, Marvel, DC – the list goes on. Sports cards are also welcome.

Q: Can you help me choose which cards to grade?
A: Absolutely – for in person drop offs, we offer free advice to help you decide which cards are most likely to grade well.

Q: What happens if my card is damaged in transit?
A: Some insurance applies for lost or damaged cards during transit in both directions (conditions and limitations apply), but anything not covered or not fully covered falls to you, the card owner. It’s important to note that Sealed & Slabbed cannot accept liability for damaged or lost cards that may occur during transit or CGC’s handling. The card remains the property — and ultimately the responsibility — of the owner throughout the process.

Q: How do I know the card I send will be the card that is returned?
A: We recommend you photograph the front and back of each card in high resolution with a dated piece of paper visible in the picture. This makes for a great record before submission to CGC. When we receive your cards we will take a picture of the packaging and contents so you can ensure everything has arrived as it should, and in the same condition - if not, you can now make a claim with your shipping company. CGC will photograph your card once graded and this will be available on their website once a certification number is allocated so you can cross reference.

CGC also performs their own intake process, which includes verifying card details and condition as part of grading. While these steps greatly reduce the chance of mix-ups, it’s important to note that Sealed & Slabbed cannot accept liability for changes in condition or discrepancies that may occur during CGC’s handling or shipping. The card remains the property — and ultimately the responsibility — of the owner throughout the process.
